2 - 4 hours 15mins drive from New Plymouth
  • Highlights:
  • Dedicated single track bike park
  • Range of trails from beginner to advanced
  • Flowing trails

DETAILS

An active mountain bike club has pored a lot of effort into upgrading and expanding the trails. There's now a great network of flowing trails, technical and beginner/child friendly trails. Trail Pro have also been building some new tracks. The result is a thoroughly enjoyable mountain biking experience of all levels of experience.

There's a good map at the beginning of the trail and in the middle of the forest. The trails are well signposted

FAVORITES
Get warmed up on Fantail and Kiwi/Kereru. Then take the Climb-Ax long climb towards the centre of the park. From there do another warm up on the flowing Let it Roll, then take on Track the Ripper. Cycle north and try out Million Dollar, there's heaps of other fun trails around there. And when you return make sure you take the fast flowing Mandatory Powerplay back to the carpark.

LOGISTICS
It's 15 minute drive out of the city so you'll need your own car to get out there. Mitchell Cycles also hire out a cycle rack which attaches to your vehicles towbar in case you need it.
