DETAILS

A steep climb to the top of mountain allows for spectacular views across the Rotorua region, with on a clear day the ability to see Mt Ruapehu in the distance. From the top you are straight into a tight and technical first half of the descent of great hand built trail, with the second half of the trail having been predominately built with a machine makes for a faster pace and corners. The exit of the trail brings you out at the renowned Kerosen Creek thermal stream where you can stop for a dip before cycling back down the road and onto the return trail to the car park just off the state highway.
